My Review for Ascended by Ingrid J. Adams

"Love is the beginning and the ending, the space between heartbeats, the infinite everything that gives meaning." ✨

If fantasy, magic, romance, and incredible settings are your thing, then if you haven't already, you need to read this series. 📚✨ Ascended is the fourth and final book, and it's just as gripping and enthralling as the first three. The only difference this time is that all the questions are answered, and everything is wrapped up beautifully. ❤️

I loved everything about Ascended. I don't even know where to begin. 🥹 Of course, our favourite characters are back—some a little lost and perhaps fighting on the wrong side—and there are a few new ones thrown into the mix, which is always fun. I really enjoyed the 1920s New Orleans setting, the jazz scene, and all the characters that Cordelia, Raf and Rory came across. 🎷✨ There are so many twists, none of which I guessed, especially the big one... IYKYK! 👀🤯

This is a really, really long book, but it doesn't feel like it. Usually, when I'm reading something that's over 800 pages, I get bored every now and then, but this one (just like the rest of the series) simply doesn't have that effect. I was hooked from beginning to end, completely invested in all the witches and warlocks, the battles, the romance, and so much more that I really can't talk about without spoiling it. 🧙‍♀️⚔️❤️

I have no idea what Ingrid has up her sleeve for her next book, but whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be just as awesome as this series. I can't wait to see what she writes next! ✨📖 Thank you so much to Ingrid for sending me an advance copy of Ascended, and to all the other Akashans for welcoming me to their Street Team.

About the Book

Everyone believes Indigo is gone. Everyone except Cordelia.

Alone and grieving, she refuses to let go of her soulmate. Because forever doesn’t exist without him. If there’s even the smallest chance he’s alive, she’ll find it, no matter the cost. To bring him back, she must delve into her past, unearth buried family secrets, and trace the hidden roots of her lineage.

Her search will carry her across time and continents, from the steamy streets of Bali to the red deserts of Sedona, from the vibrant, dangerous magick of 1920s New Orleans to the sun-drenched beaches of Sydney in the late 1990s.

But Indigo is more than a lost love. He is the missing heir to the Wiccan throne.

With the crown unclaimed and its rightful successor presumed dead, the balance of power begins to fracture. Warlocks are closing in, alliances are shifting, and Reinenoir’s long-held dream of becoming Witch Queen is closer than ever.

As destinies collide, enemies will become allies, friends will become lovers, and lovers will become enemies.

About Ingrid

Ingrid J. Adams is the author of the descended four-book series, an epic love story steeped in fantasy set in the early 1990's on the beaches of Manly in Sydney, Australia.

It took Ingrid a long time to realise her unattainably crazy dream of being a writer was in fact both attainable and sane; but between then and now, she's earnt degrees in business tourism, journalism, kinesiology and nutrition, studied psychotherapy, and worked in media, then as a therapist.

She also had a couple years off to lie in bed and stare at the ceiling after being diagnosed with an incurable disease she managed to cure herself of by going way outside the box, a disease she probably learnt more from than all her degrees put together.

Today she lives in chaos by the beach in Manly in Australia with her four beautiful boys (five if you count her husband), and her cuddle-hunting cavoodle pup. She's a massive fan of travel, yoga, meditation, farmer's markets, cooking (and eating), ocean-swimming, and escaping into fictional worlds of her own and others' creation.
